Chawan (Matcha Bowl)

Chawan: a matcha bowl with real character.

A chawan turns your daily matcha into a small, beautiful ritual and looks just as lovely sitting on a shelf. Each design has its own personality. Choose the one that matches your mood, or collect a few for friends and family:

• Indigo Glaze　Deep indigo with a sand-toned glaze band
• Maple　A cream base with red and green maple leaves and a dark rim
• Sakura　Warm white decorated with pink cherry blossoms
• Festival　Warm white with a festival figure painted in red, green and blue
• Amber Drip　Speckled amber glaze flowing over deep brown
• Moss Glaze　Earthy brown wrapped in moss-green glaze
• Brushstroke　Warm white with bold dark-green brushwork

A proper chawan is wide and deep so your whisk can move freely, which is the key to a smooth, foamy cup. It also holds warmth well and feels good in both hands as you sip straight from the bowl, the traditional way.

Why you'll love it

• Wide shape made for whisking frothy matcha
